REJUVEN8 HFC

HEALTH AND FITNESS CLINIC & PILATES STUDIO

ABOUT

Our Vision

To provide superior quality individualised training programs for everyday people and work with those who need special attention.  We endeavour to enhance the quality of life within the community and to instil the importance of exercise throughout the lifespan.

Established in 2021, Rejuven8 Health and Fitness Clinic & Pilates Studio (R8) offers exercise and rehabilitation programs to the local community. Located at the south end of Wanneroo, R8 caters for the wider area of Wanneroo and surrounding suburbs.

With the ever increasing number of sedentary lifestyles, the lack of exercise leaves individuals with a greater risk of chronic health conditions such as lower back problems. loss of balance, cardiovascular disease and even some cancers.

At R8 we work with individuals to create a tailored exercise program that will suit your needs.  We cater for those on the NDIS, on a GP management Care Plan and run Strength For Life classes.

R8 offers regular gym memberships at our 24/7 facility as well as specialised services for individuals requiring special attention.

At Rejuven8 Health and Fitness Clinic, we also offer Pilates, Yoga, Falls Prevention Exercise classes and Dietetics.    In our studio, Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates and Yoga are a regular feature to the clinic.  Those who need special attention can also book in to see our specialist Pilates Practitioner for rehabilitation services.  Our Accredited Practicing Dietitian is also available to private consultations.

To the staff here at R8, the most important part of our job is to work with the community to share our love and respect for exercise and it’s importance in our world.

It is our absolute pleasure seeing people achieving their goals.

Let’s GO

10 Gym Etiquette Rules

1. Bring a towel. Use it. Hygene!
There is nothing wrong with having a good sweat while working out in the gym, however, it’s not fair for the next patron to have to endure your sweat.  If you are coming to the gym directly after work please be mindful of your body odour and either have a quick rinse in our shower or use plenty of antiperspirant prior to your workout. Please place the towel on the piece of equipment you are using and wipe any access sweat away with the towel once finished.  So, for both your own sake and the sake of other patrons, use that towel.

2. Wear appropriate attire.

When coming to exercise at a gym, some sort of athletic garb is most appropriate;  shorts, and a t-shirt is an ensemble that always works well. Ladies, please consider a good sports bra when working out.   We do not need to expand on this simply note the word “support” as a general rule. Most importantly please wear closed in running shoes especially when working with weights.

3. Cleaning of equipment after use.
While the staff at R8 work to keep a clean gym, you need to do your part too and use the cleaning equipment made available to you throughout the gym.  Use the sanitizer wipes on all equipment after use.  With COVID-19 being a large concern, hygiene is essential in the gym.

4. Return weights to the racks after use.
This should go without saying but unfortunately it happens far too often and although not your responsibility, if you see some weights out of place feel free to put them back to where they belong.  It’s not just about being courteous but it’s very important from a safety aspect too.  Similarly, don’t leave machines loaded up with hundreds of kilos of weight.   It would be unfair to have someone weighing one tenth of that weight to have to unrack it.

5. Keep the equipment where it belongs.
We have placed equipment around the gym strategically so that you have a safe place to exercise.  However, the equipment has its own space too so that the next person knows where to find it.  The other thing of concern is using a bench and leaving it in a place where it is blocking other equipment.  If you use a bench or the plyometric box please put it out of the way of other equipment.

6. Don’t hog the equipment.
While this is obviously subject to the time of day, staying at one station for half an hour when other people want to use it is not on.  If there’s no one around, feel free to use what you want for as long as you want.  However, the minute other patrons start to arrive, please be willing to share.

7. Don’t drop the dumbbells.
Dumbbells are not meant to be dropped due to their structure.  Dumbbells that are repeatedly dropped can become loose and can break making it unsafe for the next person to use.  The only thing you can feel free to slam into the floor are the slam balls.

8. Food and drink.
We do highly recommend that you bring a water bottle with you and keep well hydrated throughout your sessions.   For some, it is important to have something to eat before training, but please do not leave food scraps or wrappers around the gym.  Protein shakes are fine if that’s your thing, but again please ensure that you keep the sink area clean. Please note, that Powerade and the likes do not come out of the carpet, so please avoid using these drinks around the carpeted areas.

9. Think about your surroundings and other patrons
Try to avoid spreading yourself out too much at the gym, think about the other patrons around you and if they may need that space or equipment too. Not only is it uncomfortable to exercise in close proximity to a stranger, but it can be dangerous.   Make it clear to others where you are working out and what equipment you are using.  Sometimes you may just have to be flexible with your workout, but doing things differently can be a good thing and you may end up challenging yourself in a new way!

10. Keep your personal belongings safe.
At R8 we have provided you with security lockers to keep your personal belongings safe.  Simply place items in the locker and take the key with you or attach it to your towel.  Please ensure that you leave the key in the locker when finished.  We know some of you like to have your gym bag close to you when training,  Please feel free to do this, but please be mindful of others and do not leave it where others may trip over it.
